Affiliate disclosure

How we're paid, in plain terms

Reel Review Notes is a free resource for readers, funded by affiliate commission rather than subscriptions or a paywall. This page explains exactly how that works.

What an affiliate link is

When you click a link to visit an operator from this site, that link usually carries a tracking code identifying it as coming from us. If you go on to open an account with that operator, they pay us a commission. You don’t pay anything extra, and the operator doesn’t know anything about you beyond what you provide them directly.

Which operators pay commission

Most, though not all, operators listed on this site have this kind of arrangement with us. Where one doesn’t, we still include it if it’s relevant to the comparison — we’re not limiting this site to only commission-paying operators.

Does commission change the scores?

No. Our comparison criteria — licensing, game range, live casino, mobile app, game studios, support and usability — are checked the same way regardless of commercial terms. An operator paying a higher rate is not moved up the ledger or given inflated criteria scores because of it.

Why we do it this way

Running detailed, up-to-date comparisons takes real time. Affiliate commission lets us keep the site free to read rather than charging readers directly, which is the standard model for comparison publishers across many industries, not just gambling.

Where you’ll see this disclosed

You’ll see a short reminder near every operator listing on this site, in addition to this page, so the relationship is never buried in small print you’d have to go looking for.
